We’re taking a spin around the blogs today to learn about the best things to do in Slovenia with kids. And honestly, thank goodness for bloggers and their families who have visited there, because there is not a whole lot of information out there on the interwebs about it!
Lisa Shusterman’s family from One World – One Trip put together a list of their favorite things in Slovenia, and gave a nice overview of the country on their blog. Their kids get into the act, too, writing about their trip into the Lake Bled area to see waterfalls, lakes, and gorges. Europe a la Carte recommends a trip to the lakeside town of Bled for a relaxing getaway. The family of 1 Van 2 Kids 3 Months had a hilariously soggy time at Lake Bled, no thanks to German railway personnel.
Our Travel Lifestyle took their family of four to Slovenia and they give a nice description of the many natural wonders in the Lake Bled region, from waterfalls to ravines to caves. Part Time Nomad’s family had a magical winter day trip to Bled Castle. The Lee-Reid Family had a not-so-magical time at the castle, but learned some interesting facts about local waterfalls, including one that was the site of an early hydro-electric generator used during World War I. Soul Travelers 3 enjoyed a colorful fall visit to the area, took a train and a boat and learned a new way to get a wish granted.
