I know, I know, I haven’t posted much lately. I’m still getting used to the routine of traveling, editing photos, and nightly notes, and trying to work in the posts when I can.

For now I’ll just give a quick update: the girls and I spent this week in the town of Garriguella, in the Costa Brava region of Spain. We went to the beach, we hiked around mountains that drop to the sea, followed trucks full of grapes to the wine cooperative in our town.

Today we drove for miles and twisting miles (kilometers and kilometers), on a road that hugs the sides of mountains next to the Mediterranean. It was exhilarating and exhausting, and I was really looking forward to our next stop: interviewing the brewing brothers of Marina microbrewery in Blanes. I’ll be posting much more about that later.

And then we drove a little further south, this time on the super-straight toll road, to Barcelona, where we’ll spend the next 5 days or so. I can’t wait to see all the Gaudi buildings and try some of the restaurants people (well, one person in particular) have recommended.
